I am the educator for Second Chance Partners for Education here in Green Bay, WI.
First off, let me say that the students I work with are not students who are trouble makers, but are hands on learners. In the education center they are getting their high school diploma; but their focus is on manufacturing! They have the traditional classes such as English and Math, but the math is focused on trades and some of the other classes they have right now are High Performance Manufacturing, Blueprint Reading, Employability Skills, etc
The students are also working in some of the manufacturing sites around Green Bay as part of their education. We call these sites "Partners" because not only are they helping the students work, but also helping the next generation of workers get their high school diplomas while at the same time gaining skills and experience you personally want in your employees.
